Job summary

PopStroke is seeking a friendly, efficient prep cook to support our busy kitchen in San Antonio. You will assist with ingredient prep, follow recipes, and help maintain consistent portioning and quality during service.

Qualifications

Experience as prep cook in high-volume environments.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
Weekend and holiday availability.
Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Assist with ingredient prep: chopping, slicing, dicing, marinating per recipes.
Follow portion control procedures to minimize waste.
Organize and stock ingredients and supplies for smooth meal service.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across kitchen areas per food safety regulations.
Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
Assist with inventory management: monitor stock, rotate ingredients, label prep items, notify shortages.
Follow safety procedures.
Coordinate timing and workflow with kitchen staff.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Assist with dishwashing as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
