You will label and stock ingredients, measure seasonings, and perform basic cooking tasks while maintaining food safety and cleanliness throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients and equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties.
• Label and stock ingredients to keep shelves organized.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings for cooking.
• Reduce sauces, parboil foods and perform basic cooking steps.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and manage waste.
• Ensure proper storage of food and items; comply with guidelines.
