STK-Steakhouse in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Prep Cook to support our kitchen team. You will prep ingredients, follow recipes, and maintain high food safety standards to ensure smooth service.

The role requires strong knife skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to quality. You should be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. This position offers opportunities for growth within a high-volume, upscale dining environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knife skills and understanding of basic culinary techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, proteins, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes and specifications
• Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and herbs for use in various dishes
• Assist with butchering meat, filleting fish, and handling proteins as needed
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food products to prevent waste
• Ensure the prep station is fully stocked, clean, and always organized
• Work closely with chefs and line cooks to ensure smooth kitchen flow
• Follow recipe guidelines and portion controls to maintain consistency and quality
• Assist in the daily mise en place, ensuring all necessary prep is completed before service
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, following all health department regulations
• Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism and enthusiasm
