STK Las Vegas is seeking a Prep Cook to join our high-energy kitchen. You will prep ingredients, assist with butchering and fish prep, and support the culinary team to ensure timely, high-quality dishes.

The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs, with night, weekend, and holiday availability. Ideal candidates have prior prep or kitchen experience, strong knife skills, and a commitment to food safety.

Qualifications

• Previous prep cook or kitchen assistant experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong knife skills and basic culinary techniques.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
• Willingness to support the BOH team and contribute to kitchen success.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, proteins, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes and specifications.
• Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and herbs for use in dishes.
• Assist with butchering meat, filleting fish, and handling proteins as needed.
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation to prevent waste.
• Ensure prep station is stocked, clean, and organized.
• Collaborate with chefs and line cooks for smooth kitchen flow.
• Follow recipe guidelines and portion controls for consistency and quality.
• Assist in mise en place and ensure prep is completed before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation per health regulations.
• Carry out tasks with professionalism and enthusiasm.
