Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory is seeking a Prep Cook for our Chula Vista location. You will work in a fast-paced, full-service kitchen, following recipes and prep lists to create high-quality dishes. This role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and ownership of food preparation.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience in the food service industry preferred
• Proficient with kitchen tools, equipment, and culinary techniques is a plus
• Ability to multitask with efficiency and attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Follow a prep list and complete tasks efficiently with speed and urgency
• Read and follow recipes with accurate measurements and portions
• Prepare ingredients with proper knife skills: chop, dice, slice
• Use methods including boiling, broiling, roasting, sauteing, frying, grilling
• Prep ingredients for 200+ menu items: sauces, dressings, soups
• Operate ovens, fryers, broilers, flat tops, grills, mixers, slicers
• Label, date, and rotate food using FIFO and maintain sanitation
