Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated is seeking Prep Cooks in San Diego, CA. You will join a high-volume kitchen team, following prep lists, reading recipes, and preparing ingredients for hundreds of menu items.

You’ll operate a range of kitchen equipment and uphold food safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. We offer steady hours with part-time or full-time options, 50% next-day pay access, free shift meals, and a generous dining discount for friends and family.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience in a fast-paced restaurant is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes with accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Follow prep list and complete tasks efficiently with speed and urgency.
• Read and follow recipes with accurate measurements and portioning.
• Prepare ingredients with knife skills (chopping, dicing, slicing).
• Use cooking methods including boiling, broiling, roasting, sauteing, frying, grilling.
• Prepare ingredients for 200+ menu items including sauces, dressings and soups.
• Operate ovens, fryers, broilers, flat tops, grills, tilt skillets, mixers, slicers.
• Label, date and rotate food using FIFO.
• Maintain organization, safety, cleanliness and sanitation.
