O.H.S.O. Brewery & Distillery in Gilbert, AZ is seeking dependable Prep Cooks to keep the kitchen prepared and organized for daily service. Follow recipes, prep sheets, and FIFO while ensuring safe handling and proper labeling of ingredients.

You will prep sauces and proteins in bulk, maintain cleanliness, and support the kitchen team as needed. This role emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler’s Card.
• Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Positive attitude and strong commitment to teamwork.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
• Ability to follow recipes, prep sheets, and food-safety procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to stand for five to eight hours at a time.
• Ability to safely bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.
• Willingness to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sauces, dressings, and other recipe components.
• Prepare proteins in bulk, including bacon, brisket, and short rib.
• Cut, slice, and portion ingredients for service.
• Follow recipe specifications and prep sheets to avoid over-prepping or under-prepping.
• Label, date, portion, and store all prepared items.
• Follow FIFO procedures at all times.
• Monitor product dates and ensure freshness.
• Maintain high quality and consistency of prepared items.
• Keep prep areas, walk-ins, and storage clean and organized.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.
• Assist dishwashers and kitchen teammates as needed.
• Communicate clearly with chefs, cooks, and other team members.
• Step in wherever needed to support the kitchen team.
