O.H.S.O. Brewery & Distillery in Phoenix, AZ is seeking dependable Prep Cooks to keep the kitchen prepared and organized for service. You will follow recipes, prep sheets, and labeling standards while ensuring items are dated and stored using FIFO.

Responsibilities include preparing sauces and proteins, cutting and portioning ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness. This role supports the kitchen team and emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and food-safety practices.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler’s Card is required.
• Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sauces, dressings, and other recipe components.
• Prepare proteins in bulk, including bacon, brisket, and short rib.
• Cut, slice, and portion ingredients for service.
• Follow recipe specifications and prep sheets to avoid over-prepping or under-prepping.
• Properly label, date, portion, and store all prepared items.
• Follow FIFO procedures at all times.
• Monitor product dates and ensure freshness within standards.
• Maintain high quality and consistency in prepared items.
• Keep prep areas and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.
• Assist dishwashers and kitchen team members when needed.
• Communicate clearly with chefs and team members.
