Job summary

Major Food Group's Carbone Miami in Miami Beach is hiring Prep Cooks to join our pasta production team. This full-time, hourly position requires open availability and a strong work ethic to maintain the highest standards of cuisine.

You will set up stations, prepare ingredients, and cook menu items in collaboration with the kitchen staff. Prior high-volume or fine dining experience is preferred, but a culinary diploma or equivalent is strongly favored.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Team-oriented with positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food; stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.

Major Food Group is hiring Prep Cooks to join our team pasta production team at Carbone Miami!

Carbone is an Italian-American restaurant created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick. The restaurant pays homage to the essence of the great Italian-American restaurants of mid-20th century New York. The food nods to that history, but takes its culinary cues from the great talents and techniques of the present and future. Familiar dishes like SEafood Salad, Linguini Vongole, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Chicken Scarpariello and Veal Parmesan elevated to a new level.

We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism. Full-time open availability required.
