Job summary

Major Food Group LLC is hiring Prep Cooks to join our pasta production team at Carbone Miami in Miami Beach, FL. This full-time, hourly position offers a competitive salary and full benefits in a high-volume dining environment.

We seek candidates with strong work ethics, willingness to set and maintain high standards of cuisine, and open availability for full-time shifts. Culinary diploma or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume and fine dining restaurants.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred.
• Team-oriented and positive attitude; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover foodStock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.

Major Food Group is hiring Prep Cooks to join our team pasta production team at Carbone Miami!

Carbone is an Italian-American restaurant created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick. The restaurant pays homage to the essence of the great Italian-American restaurants of mid-20th century New York. The food nods to that history, but takes its culinary cues from the great talents and techniques of the present and future. Familiar dishes like SEafood Salad, Linguini Vongole, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Chicken Scarpariello and Veal Parmesan elevated to a new level.

We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism. Full-time open availability required.
