Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Registered Nurse for PreOp PACU, Pain & GI in Colorado. The role focuses on assessing perioperative status, monitoring patients during recovery, and coordinating post-anesthesia care across regions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure and certification requirements (BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of diseases.
• Apply discharge scoring criteria and develop perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement care including anesthesia recovery management across modalities.
• Communicate patient status and provide pain management as needed.
• Document care and hand off to teammates; participate in quality improvement.

Skills

Preoperative PACU experience

Medical/surgical nursing experience

BLS/BCLS within 90 days

ACLS within 90 days

PALS when pediatric care included

Education
