Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a PRN Prenatal Instructor to educate expectant families on pregnancy, labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care. You will deliver evidence-based education, support informed decisions, and participate in a collaborative childbirth team.

Qualifications

• High school degree with advanced trade/vocational training.
• Bachelors degree in a health-related field preferred.
• 1–3 years experience educating and advising patients on self-directed behavior change preferred.
• Healthcare license preferred.

Summary:

At Presbyterian, our Prenatal Instructors play a vital role in supporting growing families through education, encouragement, and preparation for childbirth and parenting. The Prenatal Instructor provides engaging, evidence-based education to expectant parents on pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and early parenting. This position helps families build confidence and make informed decisions throughout their pregnancy journey. Responsibilities

• Maintains established department polices and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control policies
• Provide individual and group instruction in health related areas.
• Interacts with other members of the childbirth team
• Maintains professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops.

Qualifications

• High school degree with advanced trade/vocational school training. Bachelors Degree in a health related field preferred. 1 to 3 years experience in educating and advising patients on self directed behavior change strategies preferred. License in healthcare discipline preferred
