Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Nurse Clinical Educator to support the Family Birthing unit. The educator acts as consultant, researcher, and instructional designer, shaping clinical practice and staff development across PHS.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: State of New Mexico or a compact state required.
  • Academic preparation includes ADN; BSN preferred or higher.
  • At least 3 years of clinical care experience in a relevant specialty; OB experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Nurse Clinical Educator supports the educational components of the organizations clinical initiatives and practices.
  • Provides educational activities based on learning needs assessments, utilizing the right instructional design, training delivery, learning technology, and evaluation methodology to provide learning opportunities with high impact.
  • Teaches and coaches learning / performance needs assessment.
  • Leads projects to bridge performance gaps system-wide using optimal, budget-conscious instructional design, incorporating evidence-based data to structure instructional design and performance content.
  • Identifies national trends in education design, measurement, and reporting outcomes.
  • The educator may participate in local, state, and national speaking engagement.

Compensation Pay Range: Minimum Offer $94,057.60 Maximum Offer $160,243.20

Summary

Our Clinical Education team is currently hiring a Nurse Clinical Educator to join the Family Birthing unit at Presbyterian Hospital. The Nurse Educator serves as consultant, researcher, instructional and evaluation designer, clinical practice expert, and interprofessional collaborator supporting the clinical development needs of staff throughout the PHS enterprise. Qualifications
  • Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing required.
  • Academic Preparation: Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Nursing, Nursing Education, Education, Instructional Design, informatics Business, Leadership, Informatics, or Administration preferred.
  • Specialty Certifications: Specialty certification in nursing, informatics, education or equivalent certification preferred Professional Requirements/Emergency Response: Maintains current training in following: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and other emergency response certification may be required depending upon area of assignment Experience: Minimum At least 3 years of clinical care expertise required in clinical specialty. Family Birthing/OB experience preferred In lieu of the 3 years experience, completion of an accredited nurse residency program, 1 year of Clinical Practice Lead experience, or prior educator experience.
