The role emphasizes guiding patients through pregnancy, providing information on resources like WIC, Medicaid, prenatal and breastfeeding classes, and following up after discharge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with physician offices.
• Follow and support patient throughout pregnancy; serves as a liaison for the patient and family.
• May assist patient with physician visits if warranted.
• Provide education on gestation timeline, to include milestones of fetal growth.
• Provide information on WIC and Medicaid if applicable.
• Assist patient with pre-registration and enrolling in prenatal classes, breastfeeding classes, and provide information on breastfeeding support groups and all breastfeeding support information to include: Breast pumps/supplies and how insurance can assist.
