Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Meat Department Team Member in the United States. You will cut, wrap, weigh, and merchandize fresh and processed meats, assist in deli and seafood areas, and help with special meat arrangements for Members.

We expect completion of a meat cutting training or apprenticeship and prior meat cutting experience. Expect to uphold sanitation, safety, and club policies while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Prior meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members and answers questions about meat, poultry and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts to packaging standards.
• Maintains meat department displays and ensures inventory levels.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and displays in the meat department.
