Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a meat department team member in a full-time role. You will assist Members, prepare and process meat cuts, and maintain sanitation in a high-volume store environment.

The position requires completion of a training program or apprenticeship, prior meat cutting experience, and knowledge of wrapping machines. Ability to lift and work in a cooler is expected, with a weekly pay structure and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels meat products per packaging standards.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the meat department.
