Job summary

Torrco Design Center in New Haven, CT is seeking a Design Center Sales Consultant to be the face of the showroom, guiding homeowners, designers, contractors, and trade clients through premium kitchen and bath fixtures and decorative plumbing products.

You will manage projects from consultation to order, build lasting client relationships, and help keep the showroom polished while delivering exceptional service before, during, and after the sale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of consultative sales experience preferred.
• Experience with homeowners, interior designers, builders, contractors, or trade professionals is a plus.
• Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
• An eye for design and an interest in premium products, materials, and finishes.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple clients, orders, and deadlines.
• Comfortable learning and using sales, CRM, order-entry, and Microsoft Office systems.
• Professional, dependable, and motivated to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist homeowners, designers, builders, contractors, and other trade professionals.
• Lead consultative sales conversations to understand each client's style, needs, budget, and project goals.
• Recommend and sell premium kitchen and bath fixtures and decorative plumbing products.
• Manage projects throughout the sales cycle, including selections, quotes, orders, follow-up, and closing.
• Develop long-term client and trade relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to keep projects and orders moving smoothly.
• Track orders, proactively communicate with clients, and resolve issues when they arise.
• Deliver exceptional service before, during, and after the sale.
• Help maintain a polished, organized showroom that reflects the Torrco Design Center experience.
