Job summary

MAJC in New York City is seeking a seasoned Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a diverse housekeeping team in a luxury environment. You will ensure cleaning standards, manage daily operations, and drive continuous improvements in quality and service.

The role requires 2+ years in housekeeping supervision, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Office and PMS systems. Spanish language skills are a plus; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Housekeeping Supervisory experience in a luxury hotel.
• Strong leadership, detail-orientation and customer service focus.
• Experience with operational controls, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling.
• Proficiency with PMS systems (Opera, Knowcross, Alice, InFor) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, administer, and promote departmental policies and standards.
• Collect/prepare room and floor status reports and assign rooms to Housekeepers.
• Monitor work orders and submit to Engineering per hotel procedures.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and train staff to meet cleanliness standards.
• Manage staff performance, disciplinary actions, and mentorship.
• Ensure guest service responsiveness and report any emergencies.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure standards are met.
• Assist in inventories and maintaining linen and supply par levels.
• Balance daily room status reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Lead department meetings and quality inspections.
