Job summary

Nationwide Realty Investors, the real estate development affiliate of Nationwide, owns and manages a portfolio of communities in Columbus, including Arena District and Grandview Yard. As a Leasing Consultant, you will build relationships with prospective tenants, answer questions with accurate information, process applications, and help prospects view properties while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Apartment Management Designation such as National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) preferred.
• Prior leasing or sales experience required.
• Understands fair housing laws and state landlord-tenant law.
• Customer service, marketing, closing, and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handles phone inquiries and meets company goals for appointment conversion.
• Greets and qualifies prospects by covering all criteria.
• Inspects models and available units daily.
• Updates availability, processes applications, and submits to Senior Property Manager for approval.
• Demonstrates product knowledge to prospects and closes the sale.
• Secures new resident’s signatures and orients new residents to the community.
• Answers questions about community, repairs, rent, rules, etc.
• Prepares lease and completes paperwork for input by Financial Administration Manager.
• May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
