Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a dedicated Meat Cutter for the Southington, CT area. You will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, assisting in the rotisserie chicken and deli areas as needed.

The role requires previous meat cutting experience, training or Apprenticeship, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. We emphasize safety, quality, and excellent member service daily.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by recommending cuts of meat and answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards, weighs, wraps, and labels products.
• Maintains meat case inventory and ensures cases are stocked and signage is visible.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas; follows safety and sanitation guidelines.
