Job summary

Big Whiskey's American Restaurant & Bar in Missouri is seeking a friendly server to provide prompt, attentive service, greet guests within seconds, take orders accurately, and deliver meals in a timely manner to ensure a memorable dining experience.

You will upsell menu items, handle payments, maintain clean service stations, and collaborate with bussers and hosts to keep service smooth throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of service experience
• Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
• Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a micros system
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds and make them feel comfortable
• Introduce yourself and inform guests of specials and menu changes
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure accuracy in the micros system
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
• Prepare final bill and process payment
• Assist fellow servers and bussers to maintain smooth operation
