Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Schaumburg, IL seeks an experienced Personal Lines Property & Casualty professional to independently manage Premier clients in Tiers 2 and 3, including renewal marketing, client questions, and annual risk assessments.

You will drive account retention with proactive client engagement, provide technical coverage guidance, respond to underwriters, and prepare proposals while upholding USI Core Values and Best Practices.

Qualifications

• 8 years’ experience in Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance with coverage knowledge more broadly.
• High School Graduate; college degree preferred, but not required.
• Must hold state Property & Casualty license.
• Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU, CPRIA or pursuing.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Sagitta/WorkSmart preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
• Sets priorities and manages work flow to ensure efficient, timely processing of transactions.
• Ability to work in a team environment and share information to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a minimum of 95% retention of Client Accounts by proactive client engagement to retain accounts; including contacting clients that have moved business by Broker of Record letter to determine why business was lost by USI.
• Provide technical expertise with service of new and existing clients; consultative approach identifying exposures and solving problems per USI standards.
• Maintain renewal expirations, avoid any lapse in coverage.
• Make insurance program recommendations.
• Respond to underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, as needed.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document systems.
• Provide direction to clients in submitting first reports of claims, facilitate prompt response from carrier.
• Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverage.
