Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge engineering design and construction for data center projects in the United States. The role involves extensive collaboration with design, procurement, scheduling, and construction teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and to develop plans that mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years construction project management experience in industrial/commercial facilities.
• Experience with 3D modelling software.
• Field construction experience on active projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with time-zone flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction planning deliverables including bid packages, scheduling, estimating, virtual design and construction modeling, and reporting.
• Contribute to design constructability and sequencing plans.
• Drive collaboration among stakeholders.
• Lead planning with design, procurement and construction teams.
• Develop site logistics and risk registers.
• Coordinate with safety, quality, project services and technical groups.
