Job summary

McKinstry Essention, LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to drive estimating and budgeting for bid-stage solar/battery storage projects. You will coordinate across preconstruction and construction teams to protect margins and ensure accurate, timely proposals.

You will lead proposal development, manage risks, and collaborate with owners and subcontractors to deliver on project goals while supporting business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, business, or Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
• 5–7 years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction required.
• Familiar with scheduling software: MS Project, Primavera, SureTrak.

Responsibilities

• Identify, solicit and manage proposals with owners and subs.
• Develop conceptual estimates for solar/battery storage projects.
• Manage scope and budget from bid phase through handoff to construction.
• Coordinate with PMs to ensure smooth preconstruction to construction transition.
• Provide accurate data for project forecasts and risk management.
