Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager in the GES NA Design & Construction division to independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution. You will lead planning, budgeting, and design management across multiple locations while partnering with real estate, design, and vendors.

The role requires up to 60% regional travel and relocation consideration to nearby corporate offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience from design through implementation and operation.
• 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, or Owner's Project Management Representative.
• Experience in packaging, processing, or logistical facilities with complex equipment.
• Travel up to 60% nationwide; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Lead site selection and validation, scope development, and design management per Amazon's standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent large industrial projects across locations.
• Drive decisions, clear blockers, and escalate appropriately.
• Prepare and present project status and risk reports to leadership.
