Job summary
Layton Construction is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager in Hawaii to lead estimating, planning support, and business development for strategic projects. You will coordinate budgeting, cost history, and procurement strategies while partnering with internal teams and clients.
The role requires a BS in CM or related field with five years of construction experience; CMiC and estimating software knowledge are preferred.
Qualifications
- BS in Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience.
- Five years construction-related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret business publications and regulations.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Proficient PC skills including email, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Experience with CMiC software preferred.
- Knowledge of estimating software preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead estimating and planning support personnel.
- Monitor project budgeting and buy-out processes.
- Coordinate cost history to improve cost modeling.
- Interface with marketing for brand and information.
- Oversee sales activities and pre-qualify leads.
- Plan training for estimators and business development staff.
- Identify and procure profitable projects through client relationships.
- Supervise Estimating and Business Development teams.
