The Preconstruction Bid Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Preconstruction Department with the solicitation and tracking of subcontractor bids, managing bid coverage, multiple preconstruction and subcontractor databases, as well as general clerical duties. Strong telephone skills and experience working in a fast pace construction environment is required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• High volume phone calls and emails to secure commitment to bid from subcontractors
• Assist and prepare preconstruction project set-up for bid solicitations
• Order and review plans and bid documents
• Sub-contractor prequalification
• Maintain / update various preconstruction templates
• Performing other duties as assigned i.e., request and manage subcontractor ratings, bid results
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to multitask and function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in Construction or related field
• Previous experience in bid solicitation
• Working knowledge of construction documents (plans, specifications, etc.)
• Software experience in BlueBeam, SmartBidNet or equivalent
• Proficiency in MS Office - Excel and Word Experience

The pay range for this position of employment is expected to be between $25.00/hour and $30.00/hour. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
