Job summary

Lusardi Construction Co. in Henderson, NV is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to advance from supporting roles to owning assigned tasks with close supervision. You will learn project financials, cost reporting, contracts, change orders, and job cost management on commercial construction projects.

The APM will work on-site at the South Las Vegas project near Henderson Executive Airport with growth potential based on merit and achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.

• Proficiency with BlueBeam and construction software.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a comprehensive "quickie" estimate.
• Analyze and prepare change orders.
• Process and review RFIs and Submittals.
• Create a basic project schedule.
• Conduct project meetings.
• Negotiate subcontracts and change orders.
• Manage subcontractors, architects, and owners.
• Support PM/PE/SPM needs.
• Read and comprehend plans, specs, and soils reports.
• Understand cost reports.
• Work cohesively with the entire team (supers, architect, subs, owners).

Job description

An Assistant Project Manager (APM) at Lusardi Construction is an emerging construction professional who has developed a foundational understanding of commercial construction and the key elements involved in managing a project. At this stage, the APM transitions from primarily supporting project management activities to taking ownership of assigned responsibilities and managing their own projects with close supervision and guidance. A significant focus of the role is developing a strong understanding of the business side of construction, including project financials, cost reporting, contracts, change orders, and job cost management.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar relevant field
• Working knowledge of construction costs
• Working knowledge of construction documents (plans, specifications, etc.)
• Working knowledge and background in the inner workings of construction project accounting and job cost reporting
• Software experience in BlueBeam and construction management software
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MS Project and out Outlook

The pay range for this position of employment is expected to be between $75,000/year - $100,000/year. H owever, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience .If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors
