Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking experienced Toolmakers for its Hastings, Michigan facility. You will build, repair, and maintain precision tooling including dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures for high-volume production, reading engineering drawings and CAD prints to determine methods and sequences.

You will set up and operate manual and CNC tool room equipment, perform precision surface grinding, and troubleshoot tooling during production trials to ensure peak performance and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of Toolmaker experience or eight years progressive Toolmaker experience in manufacturing.
• Completion of a recognized Tool & Die or Toolmaker Apprenticeship is preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD prints, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and production tooling for high-volume manufacturing.
• Interpret drawings and CAD prints to determine machining methods and material requirements.
• Plan and perform precision machining, bench work, fitting, assembly and finishing with tight tolerances.
• Operate manually and CNC Tool Room equipment and surface grinding to required specs.
• Install, adjust, troubleshoot, and test tooling during production trials for optimum performance.
• Inspect tooling and machined components for conformance to drawings and quality standards.
