Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team in Kokomo, IN. You will interpret blueprints and set up conventional and CNC machines to fabricate tools, gauges, and fixtures to precise tolerances.

You will inspect parts with precision instruments and test tools to ensure proper function. Candidates will have strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills and be able to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Progressive tooling experience through an apprenticeship or equivalent program.
• Eight years of toolmaking experience or five years with related trade and three years in tooling/related trade.
• Experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional or CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders) to cut and finish parts to spec.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts to plan sequences of operations.
• Inspect finished tools with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to ensure tolerances.
• Test and adjust tools to ensure proper function and conformance to design.
• Install and maintain tooling and crossbars; service loading automation and die sets.
• Lift, position, and secure parts for machining and inspection.
• Work shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
