Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Knowledge of mathematics, algebra and physics.
• 4 years of combined experience and training similar to an apprenticeship for Tool Maker or Tool and Die Maker, or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools to cut, bore, grind or shape parts.
• Test and inspect tools to ensure they match original design.
• Read blueprints and specifications to plan operations.
• Install and maintain tooling and crossbars.
• Perform incidental tasks to complete larger assignments.
