The Pivot Group Network in Hudsonville, MI is actively connecting skilled Tool Makers with regional manufacturers. We are seeking professionals to fabricate, repair, and modify tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures, interpreting blueprints and operating lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM equipment.

Ideal candidates have an apprenticeship or equivalent, read blueprints, and understand metallurgy, with a proven focus on precision and quality.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Completion of a Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Experience operating manual and CNC machinery including lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs.
Strong understanding of metallurgy and heat treatment.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, repair, and modify tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues to support production.
Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure accuracy.
