Qualifications

Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent apprenticeship.
Minimum of 5 years experience in precision tool making.
Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Manufacture, repair, and modify complex tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
Perform precision measurements using a wide range of inspection tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and production.
Maintain and calibrate tooling and equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.
