Job summary

John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, is seeking a Seal Repair Technician in Tulsa to handle disassembly/assembly of rotating equipment, perform DCI, and document wear and condition of critical components. You will inspect, evaluate material, and determine repair operations, while assisting with BOM and drawings to ensure accurate repairs.

The role requires basic math, ability to read simple instructions, and experience with mechanical seals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; some college/trade school preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical seal equipment experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to present information clearly to individuals and small groups.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble rotating equipment per repair packet and DCI process.
• Document wear and condition of critical components with photos.
• Inspect and evaluate returned material; determine repair operations and purchase orders.
• Perform basic shop operations and verify specifications.
• Ensure components are cleaned and reassembled properly for release.
