John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, seeks a Seal Repair Technician for disassembly, inspection, and assembly of rotating equipment. You will follow repair packets, document wear, and determine repair operations with close supervision.

Responsibilities include part handling, cleaning, and performing shop tasks such as drilling, bead blasting and lapping, while maintaining accurate records and assisting with purchasing orders.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent required; some college or trade school preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical seal equipment experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets.
• Ability to read, write, and follow simple instructions and memos.
• Able to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsabilidades

• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble rotating equipment per repair packets.
• Document wear and condition of critical components; photograph and log inspections.
• Identify repair operations, verify specifications, and initiate work and purchase orders.
• Handle the assembly of seals; ensure components are cleaned and free of foreign material.
• Operate basic shop equipment and assist with cost and price determination for repairs.
