Job summary

John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, seeks a Seal Repair/Maintenance Technician/Assembler for full-time work. You will handle disassembly, inspection, and assembly of rotating equipment, following repair packets and DCI workflows to describe wear and condition of critical components.

Responsibilities include documenting results, using inspection tools, and assisting in repairs and shop operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical assembly positions.
• Experience with mechanical seals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble rotating equipment per repair packets.
• Follow DCI process and document wear and condition of critical components.
• Photograph and record inspection results; verify BOM and drawings match.
• Set up and operate drill press, bead blast polisher, and lapping machine.
• Coordinate with Engineering or Sales as needed; initiate purchase orders when required.
• Maintain records and assist other repair personnel as needed.
