Job summary

Home Chef is seeking a Quality Control Tech for a day shift in Maryland. The role focuses on on-line QC of labeled, portioned, and bagged meals, ensuring adherence to recipe specifications and QA standards.

You will work with production to sample products and verify measurements and packaging accuracy. The position includes thorough line inspections, final box verification, and collaboration with the shipping and receiving teams to maintain product quality and food safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience working in food quality is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy and quality of all product labeled, portioned, meal bagged, and shipped by performing on-the-line checks against recipe specifications and QA sheets.
• Performs hourly visual inspections of portioned ingredients for accuracy on the line.
• Verifies line setup and box contents before shipping and signs off on production sheets.
• Conducts final box verification and post-op clean up to maintain readiness for the next shift.
