Job summary

Home Chef is hiring a Quality Control Technician for the 2nd shift in Bedford Park, IL. The role involves on-the-line checks to ensure labels, ingredients, and meal bags meet recipe specifications and quality standards, with hourly inspections and final box verification.

You will support labeling accuracy, portion verification, and line setup while upholding GMP and SQF standards, collaborating with production teams daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in food quality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs labeling inspections for correct product name and labeling.
• Issues QC samples to production teams ensuring correct portioning per QA sheets.
• Verifies ingredients and shelf life on production sheets and during line checks.
• Conducts hourly inspections of portioned ingredients and meal bags for accuracy.
• Performs final box verification and signs off on box production sheets.
• Monitors line setup and communicates errors to production teams.
• Maintains sanitation and monitors cross-contamination risks on the line.
• Supports SQF and GMP adherence throughout the facility.
