Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, in Pensacola, FL, is seeking a factory operator to run plant machinery following safety rules and procedures to produce quality precast concrete products.

You will read specifications, set machine controls, monitor operations for defects, and assist with routine maintenance and setup tasks. The role requires basic math, reading ability, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance to ensure quality
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Assist other operators to set up machines and complete tasks to meet deadlines
• Maintain clean and orderly work area
• Other duties as needed
