Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a manufacturing/machine operator to operate machinery per safety policies to produce high-quality precast products. Responsibilities include reading specs, setting templates, monitoring for defects, and maintaining equipment.

The role requires basic math, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a readiness to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment. Health and retirement benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Flexible schedule and self-starter

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product.
• Keep the assigned area clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned as needed
