Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Georgia is seeking a Machine Operator to operate plant machinery, follow safety policies, and produce high-quality precast products. You will read specifications, set stops, monitor for defects, perform routine maintenance, and assist teammates to meet deadlines.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and be willing to work a flexible schedule. CRH offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent or 1 month of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Observe machine operation for defects or malfunctions.
• Review product for consistency and quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
