Job summary

Wesco in Illinois is seeking a Production Assembler to assemble fabricated parts, calibrate components to meet specifications, and identify and repair units that fail tests. You will help improve productivity and efficiency on the production floor.

The role involves assembling parts, following procedures, and performing routine inspections and maintenance. You will be on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated parts and units at floor stations.
• Calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and specs.
• Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as needed.
• Propose measures to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Perform simple screening, boxing, or cutting operations.
• Inspect and test work for quality and document results.
