Job summary

CSL is seeking a Plasma Sampling Technician to ensure accurate and timely sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will work under the Assistant Center Manager, performing tasks from labeling checks to daily equipment calibration and donor data entry.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, documenting shipping and disposal, and adhering to HSE/OSHA policies in a fast-paced center environment. Previous lab or warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Will perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer per SOPs.
• Store plasma units properly according to SOPs and handle unsuitable units.
• Verify unit labeling accuracy against the dynamic label.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and seal to preserve sterility.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report issues; record variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily per SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• May cross-train in other areas to meet business needs.
• Follow Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and OSHA policies; maintain a safe work environment.
