Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience with continuous polishing machines.
• High School diploma or GED or trade school graduate.
• Mathematical skills incl. basic geometry and trigonometry.
• Familiarity with Windows 10, MS Office and SAP.
• Experience polishing optical glasses, glass-ceramics and crystals.

Responsibilities

• Grind and polish optics on conventional spindles, continuous grinders and polishers.
• Perform blocking and unblocking of parts.
• Work safely on fragile high-value optics.
• Measure work-piece conformance to specifications.
• Notify supervisor of discrepancies.
• Follow written and verbal English work instructions and measurements.
• Interpret blueprints accurately.
• Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges and pH meters.
• Verify settings by measuring parts before and after changes.
• Document actions and communicate needs across shifts.
• Maintain safe operations and adhere to PPE and 5S requirements.
