Job summary

ASML is seeking self-motivated Optical Technicians to fabricate advanced optical components for semiconductor photolithography machines. The role emphasizes attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety and 5S standards while contributing to continuous improvement.

Work involves grinding, polishing, blocking parts, and measuring with metrology equipment, with shifts from 6 am to 6 pm on a front-end schedule. Prior experience in polishing is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with basic math skills.
• 4–7 years' experience with continuous polishing machines.
• Experience polishing optical glasses and crystals.
• Proficient with Windows 10, MS Office and SAP.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret measurements.

Responsibilities

• Grind and polish optics on conventional spindles, continuous grinders and polishers.
• Measure workpieces and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Block and unblock parts; maintain safety and 5S requirements.
• Document actions and communicate with supervisors and co-workers across shifts.
• Operate measurement tools: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, and pH meters.
