Job summary

ASML is seeking an Optical Fabrication Technician in Wilton, CT to fabricate precision optical components for advanced semiconductor lithography equipment. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to standards, and teamwork to meet production schedules and high-quality optics.

Responsibilities include operating CNC milling, grinding, coating deposition, and precise assembly of glass parts with metrology feedback.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational certification preferable.
• Experience with measuring equipment desirable (microscopes, calipers, micrometers, CMM, interferometer).
• Work experience or hobbies translating to job responsibilities and skills.

Responsibilities

• Complying with safety requirements and contributing to safety improvements.
• Maintain area, tooling, and equipment to 5S standards.
• Adhere to processing standards and work instructions for consistent quality.
• Monitor optical processing equipment and respond to achieve desired results.
• Handle delicate optical components and identify abnormal characteristics.
• Escalate product or process quality concerns promptly.
• Learn and apply skills for progressively challenging products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to safety, quality, output and cycle time.
• Collaborate with engineering and management to improve efficiency.
• Record time and attendance accurately.
• Log shop floor activity in the control system.
• Learn to map glass surface defects and clean surfaces.
