Job summary

ASML Germany GmbH in Wilton, CT is seeking an Optical Fabrication Technician to fabricate high-precision optical components for advanced lithography machines. You will operate CNC milling, grinding, polishing, coating deposition, and assembly of glass parts with meticulous attention to dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

You will work in a safety-conscious environment, maintain 5S standards, and collaborate with production engineering to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility or vocational certification preferred.
• Experience with measurement equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, CMM or interferometer.
• Data collection and record keeping; shop floor control system transactions.

Responsibilities

• Complying with safety requirements and contribute to safety improvements.
• Maintain area, tooling, and equipment to 5S standards.
• Identify and escalate unsafe conditions or quality concerns promptly.
• Adhere to processing standards to obtain consistent quality results.
• Actively monitor optical processing equipment and respond to ensure desired results.
• Handle delicate optical components and inspect for abnormalities.
• Document time, attendance and processing delays in the shop floor system.
• Learn to inspect and map glass surfaces recording minute defects.
