Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in vocational trade preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility or vocational certification is desirable.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, CMM, interferometer.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and own optical processing equipment.
• Handle delicate optical components and identify abnormalities.
• Maintain area, tooling, and equipment per 5S standards.
• Identify unsafe conditions and escalate quality concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering and Manufacturing Management to improve efficiency.
• Learn and apply skills for progressively challenging products.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and cycle time.
• Inspect glass surfaces to map defects and ensure quality.
