Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or vocational certification preferable.
• Experience with measuring equipment desirable: microscopes, calipers, micrometers, CMM, interferometer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and own optical processing equipment.
• Handle delicate optical components and identify abnormalities.
• Maintain 5S standards in area, tooling, and equipment.
• Identify unsafe conditions and quality concerns promptly.
• Support area and factory schedule execution.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering and Manufacturing Management to improve efficiency.
• Learn and apply skills to tackle progressively more challenging products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and throughput.
• Inspect and map glass surfaces showing minute defects.
• Clean optical surfaces of particles and contaminants.
• Record time and attendance accurately.
• Assist training of new and existing employees.
