Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or vocational training is desirable.
• Ability to collect data and document shop floor activity.
• Read and interpret measuring devices and gages accurately.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor optical fabrication processes to meet specifications.
• Maintain 5S and organize tooling and work area.
• Identify unsafe conditions and escalate appropriately.
• Adhere to processing standards and work instructions for consistent quality.
• Record time, materials and progress in shop floor control system.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and kaizen events.
• Collaborate with engineering and management to improve efficiency.
• Learn to map glass surfaces and inspect for defects.
• Handle delicate optics with care and report abnormalities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
